Everything you need to know about the ride
Sunday, June 4. Check in is open between 6:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (See start times for the different distances HERE.) Come early to meet your fellow riders, check out the cue sheets, find a group (or start your own) and fuel up for the ride.
Choose among 3 distance options, all of which start and finish in Manhattan:
|100 Miles||A full century across Bergen and Rockland counties.|
|65 Miles||To Rockland County.|
|30 Miles||In scenic Bergen County.|
|Through April 15||$60|
|April 16 - May 20||$75|
|May 21 - June 4||$85|
The fee includes: the ride, SAG support and assistance on your route, as well as food at the Starting and Finish Line festival.
The start is right off the West Side bike path at 145th Street — just north of the Harlem Piers. The closest subway stations are the 145 St stations on the 1, A, B, C, and D lines. All routes go up the West Side Bike Path and over the George Washington Bridge – a beautiful view first thing in the morning! The routes will be clearly marked according to distance. The festival at the finishing line will be on the banks of the Hudson River, right off the bike path between 145th and 150th Streets.
WILL THERE BE FOOD?
Of course! There will be rest stops every 10 — 20 miles to keep you fueled up, a full-out lunch for 65 and 100 mile options at Rockland State Park, and a great, open buffet at the finish festival.
WHAT IF MY BIKE BREAKS DOWN?
There will be bike maintenance at the pit stops, and a SAG vehicle to help you along the route. Emergency phone numbers will be provided on your cue sheet. No one gets left behind.
ANY SAFETY RULES?
Yes. Bike Helmets must be worn while riding, and all local traffic rules must be adhered to. Single file riding is not only the safest, it is also polite to your fellow cyclists! Be kind – ride behind.
Festival and food! At the finishing line, there will be a lavish picnic buffet, entertainment, and free massages thanks to our friends at MMX NYC.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
Hopefully as great as last year, but we do ride rain or shine. Since most of our costs are incurred before the ride, we can not offer refunds because of the weather.
We ride rain or shine. Helmets are required at all times when you are riding. Cue sheets will available at the start. All routes will be clearly marked. OutCycling reserves the right to limit same-day registration based on early registrations.
